Thames River Cruise & Three Course Festive Lunch

Following very enjoyable Christmas lunch trips in the past, I have been asked by some if we could repeat the experience. Having missed out these past two Christmases, I thought it would be nice to return to the River Thames this year. One Christmas meal you don’t have to cook yourself and of course none of the washing up!!

Our Thames River Cruise with a festive Sunday lunch promises to set you up perfectly for the celebrations ahead. We arrive at Embankment Pier and once boarded upon the splendid Glass Room from Bateaux London, we enjoy a 3 course Christmas lunch with music from a live Jazz band. Take in all the beautiful sights of London from the unique perspective of the River Thames.

Our cruise heads first towards Westminster passing the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament where it turns around and follows the river eastwards offering stunning views of some of the world’s most iconic buildings including St Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, The Shard, The Gherkin and the Tower of London before passing Greenwich with the Royal Observatory and The Cutty Sark. Reaching the O2 Arena we turnaround to return to the Embankment Pier. A fully licensed bar is available throughout.

Once our cruise is complete, we disembark with 90 minutes or so free time to make the most of the festive offerings in the world’s greatest city. With so many options within a 10-15 minute stroll why not visit the Christmas Tree in Trafalgar Square or head to Covent Garden to see the stunning decorations and perhaps do some shopping. Whilst there you could pop across to Somerset House to watch those brave enough to take to the ice rink in the beautiful surroundings. Or perhaps the Christmas Markets on the Southbank is more your scene, where you can relax with a cup of mulled wine.

At around 5pm we will re-board the coach for our journey home taking in the Christmas lights en-route. All in all a lovely festive treat.
